Switching to a loose bun to reduce scalp tension
Tip from tevapharm.com. · Read the original post
Tight hairstyles can cause external-traction tension that may aggravate an already sensitive scalp and prompt an attack. One writer found that loosely gathering hair into a high bun provided the most comfort. If any band still feels tight, using a light claw clip or letting your hair hang completely loose can also relieve pressure.
What you'll need
You only need one of these — not all of them.
The original tip uses
Soft scrunchie or gentle hair tie
Lightweight claw clip
Wearing hair completely down (no tool needed)
Good to know
Scalp allodynia can make even slight hair movement or light accessories feel tender during an attack; take your hair down completely if your scalp feels sore.
